Abstract

The aim of the research is studying how the components of normative family triads coordinate in micro-transitions, that is in those situations of everyday life that imply rapid changes in roles, positions and interactions. For this purpose, 14 triads composed of mother, father and a 4 year old child have been observed in laboratory while playing together in a setting where they were asked to change their interactive configuration three times. For the analysis, we elaborated some categories able to point out the processes embedded in the micro-transitional dynamics (separation-entrust-welcoming-joining; triadic coordination; emotional tuning). The results allow to identify two different “forms” of normative family interactions in situation of micro-transition
