Abstract

The film therapy intervention project included four weekly meetings, during which period three films where screened. At the first encounter, service users were provided with a leaflet in order to instruct them and promote the focus of their attention on the topic of violence. A group discussion was facilitated after the screening of each film. During the fourth encounter, a psychodynamic group therapy informed experiential activity was proposed to participants. Finally, a self-report questionnaire was administered. In conclusion, service users who participated in the intervention project considered it a valuable experience in promoting awareness of their own problems.
